Culturclic, project completed

We’ve just wrapped up a project, and it’s time to take a closer look at the work delivered by the Code Barcelona web design and development studio.

This project is a special case—it hasn’t been included in our usual series of posts about project launches. The reason? The creators of Culturclic, Fernando and Julio, came to us with a brand-new business idea with great potential. Together, we set out to build the first platform where you can book shows directly, cutting out the middleman.

In this article, we’ll break down some of the most interesting aspects of the Culturclic project, from its origins to its final launch.

Getting started

The project began as a concept from the theater company Opakar.

Who better than an artist to spot the business opportunities in the live entertainment sector?

Recognizing a clear gap in the market, they reached out to us to share their idea and asked us to help bring it to life.

Main objective

To create a web platform where users, distributors, and performing arts companies can connect, showcase, offer, and book services—without the hassle of complicated admin.

Alongside this, two secondary goals emerged: to deliver an attractive, highly visual, and dynamic web design that never loses sight of the main objective, and to ensure the development was fully tailored to the project’s unique requirements.

Web design

Since the content itself was already highly visual, we opted for a minimalist web design to provide contrast and clarity, making the information hierarchy immediately clear to users.

A classic navigation menu allows users to move seamlessly between sections—everything you need is just a few clicks away.

Web development

The latest technologies were used throughout development. Highlights include a fully automated booking and contracting system, instant quote generation based on user input, and a comprehensive back office that enables Culturclic to manage all operational workflows.

Features

When it comes to features, this web project truly stands out.

We developed a sophisticated quote calculator with a wide range of variables for users to select. The system processes all the information automatically and generates a tailored quote based on those inputs.

There’s also a user area with three distinct user types.

The booker: can book shows, track their bookings and contracts, download documents, and access their reservation or contract files.

The company: can accept or decline bookings, manage their calendar, block dates, add calendar notes, and monitor the status of their bookings and contracts.

The distributor: has access to all company information, booking calendars, and the locations where companies will be performing on specific dates.

Culturclic brings all three user types together in one place, streamlining workflows and making the process fast, easy, and intuitive.

Support materials

To complement the web design and development, we also produced a 2D animated video explaining the philosophy behind the Culturclic platform for booking shows.

The video runs for one minute and follows the project’s visual identity, enhancing the user experience even further.

We also created a full icon gallery to help users communicate and filter shows more easily, making selection and categorization straightforward.

Results

The result is a web platform where users can connect directly with performance companies from start to finish.

Users can generate quotes and finalize bookings with Culturclic as the sole intermediary—a fast, dynamic way to bring culture everywhere.

We achieved an attractive, dynamic design—one of our key objectives—while ensuring the platform is clear and easy to use, streamlining workflows and delivering an outstanding, user-friendly service.

Conclusions

Great ideas deserve great execution.

Without execution, even the best ideas remain just dreams—dreams and ideas are only part of the creative and success process.

Outstanding development and implementation are essential if we want big ideas to become reality.

Only through teamwork can we achieve the best results. Creating synergies is the added value that sets the good apart from the great.

There are plenty of good projects, but only one can be the best. The Culturclic platform is a prime example of this philosophy in action.
