More and more leading brands are turning to new technologies to power their communication strategies. In this project, we take a look at an outstanding piece of animation created by Trivago to promote its accommodations around the world.

Each of the two videos produced for this campaign runs for 30 seconds. The main goal: boost brand awareness and drive sales.
The biggest challenge was to deliver a high-quality animation that clearly explains the product through motion, while staying aligned with the marketing objectives.

The animation features a playful 3D look, inspired by children’s 3D animation films.
The color palette was chosen to evoke the hues of the Spanish coast at sunset.
Every detail is designed to convey a warm, carefree summer vibe.
The animated video was crafted with the target audience and main distribution channels in mind.

The project was led by Adriano Di Ricco, The Rusted Pixel, and Ruy, under the direction of Paulina Gronal.
All are part of Trivago’s in-house team in Düsseldorf, Germany. The brand has its own internal agency responsible for developing both online and offline campaigns for its various communication channels.
This two-part animation won the Platinum A’Design Award for 2019 in the A’ Movie, Video and Animation Design Awards category.
