This selection is entirely curated by us, the result of an in-depth dive into the world’s top design websites and leading graphic design studios.
We’ve gathered 20 outstanding graphic design projects, each explored in detail to inspire your own creativity.
Let’s dive right in!
We begin our journey through the best graphic design of 2020 and 2021 with this project by creative agency Seachange Studio for Silo Theatre.
Silo Theatre is a benchmark for contemporary theatre and art.
This campaign, created for Silo’s 2020 season, received three Best Design Awards from the Designers Institute of New Zealand:
What stands out in this project is the bold, vibrant color palette and fresh imagery, where color overlays and dynamic shapes create striking visual impact.
The result is a flawlessly executed campaign that captures the freshness and avant-garde spirit of the project—an outstanding example of graphic design trends for 2021.

Another key graphic design trend for 2021 is semi-realistic illustration—artworks that blur the line between photography and illustration.
Kurt Chang is a master of this style, as seen in his semi-realistic illustration project.
His work stands out for its natural colors and forms, evoking a sense of warmth, everyday life, and softness.
What’s especially striking is the blend of contemporary and futuristic elements, creating a perfectly balanced composition.
Check out his website and explore his portfolio—an excellent example of 2021 graphic design trends and one of the top graphic design projects of 2021.

This is one of our favorite highlights in this article.
Ben J. Crick’s campaign for Spotify is packed with creative resources that make it truly spectacular.
The project features:
Ben J. Crick: “I think that’s the beauty of it. Working at that scale, if you can build a system that enables people to do good work, it becomes much bigger than any individual.”
This project is a testament to innovation, and it’s clear that Spotify, as a leader in online music, isn’t afraid to push boundaries with its annual visual identity campaigns.

A complete contrast to the previous projects, but equally compelling, is the packaging design for Srisangdao Rice by branding and graphic design studio Prompt Design.
Thung Kula Ronghai is a renowned Thai rice brand known for its quality and environmentally conscious production, with annual output limited to minimize environmental impact. The rice is also fully organic and chemical-free.
The packaging needed to reflect these values, so it was designed using fully recyclable materials.
Notably, the box is die-cut in the shape of a rice grain, and the rice itself is packaged in a small numbered pouch.
This project has received several awards, including:
An innovative project that embodies several of 2021’s key graphic design trends.

The packaging design for Milton Chocolate is another brilliant example of graphic design and creativity.
Milton reimagines chocolate beyond its traditional child-focused image, positioning it as a sophisticated treat for adults.
The packaging evokes the aroma of cacao through silk-like textures, almost sculptural in their execution.
The box, shaped like a book, opens from the cover and includes a flavor chart card.
The assorted box is inspired by the look of a bookshelf.
For production, the package uses fine dark blue and turquoise paper to represent dark chocolate, shimmering in different hues.
It’s finished with gold foil stamping, die-cutting, and hand assembly.
The result is a spectacular brand experience, recognized with:
A true source of inspiration for anyone working on luxury projects.
