In this course, you’ll explore the creative process behind making a realistic creative drawing and coloring it using pastel techniques. You’ll learn how to master this method and apply it to your own artwork.

The course takes you step by step through the entire creative process of working with pastels and colored pencils.
You’ll cover image selection, the materials you’ll need, how to sketch, plan, and draw your image, and then apply the technique.
Once that’s done, it’s time to let your creativity flow—highlighting light, shine, skin tones, and blending colors. Finally, you’ll focus on adding contrast and shadows.
After putting away the pastels, you’ll pick up colored pencils to outline your illustration and finish it off with a layer of pastel fixative.
