Faride Mereb is a graphic designer and editor originally from Venezuela, now based in New York.
Her deep connection to books and print stems from her experience working at a newspaper, assisting in a library, and from the first book she owned at age twelve: *Strange Pilgrims* by Gabriel García Márquez—a book she highly recommends.
She studied graphic design and is currently a professor at Columbia University.
In 2014, she founded the publishing house “Letra Muerta,” through which she has published eight titles and received numerous graphic design awards in Latin America, Europe, and the United States, including:
