This month, we’re highlighting a truly outstanding project: the best corporate identity design of April 2019.
Presenting the branding design for Dimdimsum, a Taipei-based restaurant.
Let’s start with a brief overview of the branding project.

As mentioned, Dimdimsum is a dim sum shop and restaurant located in Taipei.
Dim sum is a type of Cantonese fast food typically served with tea and enjoyed from early morning to late afternoon. With thousands of varieties, it’s often compared to Spanish tapas.
The creative team at Tu Design Office was responsible for the new brand identity, and their work deserves high praise.

The creative studio handled every aspect of Dimdimsum’s brand identity, including:

In short, a truly comprehensive branding package.
As you can see from the project images, the result is a seamless blend of traditional art and contemporary design techniques.
The typography evokes the vibrant chaos of Hong Kong’s streets and the spirit of Kung Fu.
One of the restaurant’s specialties is the Pig Bun, a pork-based dish. This inspired the creation of the “Kung Fu Master Pig”—a character that embodies the restaurant’s culinary skill and playful personality.
The branding project has also received several INDIGO 2019 awards:
