When it comes time to design a poster, there are many factors to consider—from aesthetics to communication.
To select what we consider the best posters of 2019 and 2020, we took all these factors into account. That said, we’ll admit we let ourselves be guided quite a bit by visual appeal. Occupational hazard of being graphic designers, I suppose.
Either way, I’m sure this article won’t leave you indifferent, and you’ll find plenty of inspiration—this one’s packed to the brim.

This series of posters by Quim Marin, a local designer, is nothing short of striking. Personally, I find them absolutely impressive.
Quim Marin is a true master when it comes to poster design. Browsing his portfolio, it was hard to choose just one project—honestly, we could dedicate an entire post to his work alone.

This poster by Adam Repaský stands out for its quality and graphic richness—it’s even moving. Incorporating elements like sculptures into the design gives it a powerful presence. A truly exemplary poster.

More than just a single poster, this is a sample of Jakub Malec’s work. Jakub is a student and freelance designer based in Poland.
Every poster he creates is exceptional—true works of art.

This poster, aside from its refined minimalist design, really caught our attention for its clever communication.
As you can see in the gif, the poster “tears” to reveal a different graphic underneath.

With bold typography and striking black-and-white imagery, this poster is visually stunning and impactful.
Atakan Aslan, the designer, is another master of poster design, and the piece we’ve highlighted here is just one of his many outstanding works.

Disturbing. Completely. And what’s better than a graphic creation that truly communicates and evokes emotion?
This is a perfect example of how powerful graphic design can move people. Roman Post’s poster absolutely deserves its place on this list of the best posters of 2019–2020.

Large type, a black background, carefully chosen materials, and blurred red circles. Minimalist, simple, yet visually powerful.
A creation by Artem Matyushkin.

Kristian Allen Larsen surprises us with a completely hand-drawn illustration. An outstanding piece where the line between pure art and graphic design is beautifully blurred.

Visual richness, contrast, bold typography, and all kinds of shapes. In this curated selection of the best posters from 2019 and 2020, you’ll find all the inspiration you need to create posters that stand out in 2020.
This list is a personal selection by Code Barcelona. It is not an official ranking and personal taste played a key role in choosing each poster. The aim is to provide high-quality inspiration for graphic designers.
