The logo design draws its main inspiration from the history and traditions of the Kiliwa ethnic group, whose deep roots lie in northern Baja California—the region where the restaurant bearing this logo is located.

In the Kiliwa language, “melsúu” means blue, which is also the brand color chosen for the restaurant’s branding.

The brand represents the supreme deity of this mythological Kiliwa culture, Meltí, symbolizing wisdom, magic, and death. Meltí translates as Coyote-People-Moon.
