The hand-stitched white leather cover is inspired by the padded walls of psychiatric hospital isolation rooms.

The linen wrap for the shelves references the white clothing worn by hospitalized patients.

The elastic band and safety buckle evoke a straitjacket or the straps used to secure a patient to a bed.
