It is with great excitement that I dedicate this article to the launch of a new project at Code Barcelona—a project focused on web design and development for a company specializing in pool equipment distribution. In short: Code Barcelona meets Pirolevante.
To introduce the project, our goal is to create a new digital identity for Pirolevante, a company with over 40 years of experience.
Pirolevante is a company dedicated exclusively to the distribution and sale of equipment and products for pool climate control, as well as maintenance and technical support services.
Founded in 1972, Pirolevante is approaching its 50th anniversary—a remarkable milestone. Over the decades, the company has continually adapted to the times and forged partnerships with leading manufacturers in the sector, such as Calorex.
Recognizing that their brand image was becoming outdated, the client reached out to the Code Barcelona team to see if we were up for the challenge of giving Pirolevante the boost it needs to secure its rightful place in the digital landscape.
We’re always thrilled when a client entrusts us with a project and places their confidence in our web design and development studio. We gladly accept the challenge and are ready to get to work.
As you can see from the website that’s still online while we prepare the new project, this is a web design and development project for a company with a corporate website featuring the typical sections to learn about the business, its activities, and its products.
Aside from the content, the site features a design reminiscent of the early days of web design, when content was displayed in rigid blocks and both devices and technologies were limited.
To illustrate, and with all due respect, here are some screenshots of the old site. These will help us measure the progress and achievements once the new project is live.

It’s clear at a glance that the layout and available space are not being used to their full potential.
This is a website built on a fixed, block-based web design system, leaving a lot of unused space on the sides and bottom, and missing out on the true possibilities of the medium.
No doubt, at the time, it met the minimum requirements—and after all, they’ve been in business for over 40 years.
With the project just underway, Code Barcelona is currently defining the strategy and preparing the visual proposal.
We’re clear on the general objectives we must achieve to ensure the project’s success for Pirolevante:
To create a custom web design for Pirolevante—one that gives the company the strong image it needs to compete more effectively in the market.
To deliver custom development, without relying on templates or amateur shortcuts. At Code Barcelona, we use cutting-edge technologies and the latest technical advancements in every project.
By working professionally and transparently, we’ll achieve a unique web design—the best way to define Pirolevante’s new digital identity.
The Code Barcelona team has high expectations for this project.
Revamping a company’s digital identity is an exciting challenge for a creative team like ours.
The transformation will be dramatic, and the contrast will be striking.
With that, I invite you to follow our blog to stay up to date on the project’s progress.
