A collaboratively developed identity

Shido Hàbitat was a comprehensive identity project. We designed the entire corporate system for a furniture store located in the upper area of Barcelona, ensuring the brand’s visual expression was reflected consistently across every touchpoint.

From the outset, the creative direction embraced a language inspired by nature, organic forms, and essential elements. This approach extended beyond the graphic universe to influence the choice of materials, finishes, and media, achieving coherence between concept, form, and experience.

A logo built on meaning

The logo was developed with a minimalist, restrained approach, rich in symbolism. The brand’s identity draws directly from the meaning of its name: Shido, which means “seed” in Japanese.

Building on this concept, the symbol is crafted with a simple yet purposeful gesture: the dot on the letter i represents a seed, from which a leaf emerges—evoking growth and the idea of home. The entire design is enclosed within a circle, symbolizing the habitat. In this way, the identity encapsulates a clear idea: the origin of a space that grows, flourishes, and comes together as a whole.

Corporate applications with a focus on materials

The system was applied across a range of corporate materials, always preserving a consistent formal and material sensibility. For production, we selected Fedrigoni Oikos paper—an Italian benchmark for high quality, featuring a pronounced organic texture and made from recycled materials—perfectly aligned with the project’s philosophy.

The designed pieces included the logo, business cards in various versions, labels in two formats, flyers, notecards, corporate folders, envelopes, mini CDs, shopping bags, and the design and development of the website. The photo shoot took place in the Montseny forest, aiming to showcase the identity in a visual context that reflects its natural, understated, and sensory character.
