A picture is worth a thousand words—and it sells. Great visuals elevate the appeal of any product.
This week’s featured Domestika course is all about product photography for e-commerce. Because no matter how amazing your products are, if your photos don’t do them justice, you’re missing out.
In this course, you’ll master the essentials of creating professional-quality images for your online store.

That’s the way!
Photography is an art, and like any art, it has two key sides: creativity and technique.
You need both—the creative vision and the technical know-how—to achieve professional, high-impact results. One without the other just doesn’t cut it. To truly excel, you need to develop both skill sets.
The good news? Both the creative and technical aspects can be learned. So don’t worry if you think you have limitations—that’s just your mind playing tricks on you. Set that aside and give it a try.
Understanding how to control light is fundamental to getting the most out of your images.
This course will teach you the basics of shooting product photos for e-commerce using natural light.
You’ll learn every stage of a project: planning, production, and post-production for your e-commerce photography.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to efficiently handle product photography for e-commerce.

You’ll need a camera or smartphone, a tripod, sheets of paper (white, colored, and parchment in various weights), a window, and a table or surface to set up your workspace by the window.
You’ll also need white card or polystyrene, and a computer with Adobe Photoshop.
To get the most out of this course, you should have basic knowledge of Photoshop and digital cameras, or at least be familiar with smartphone photography apps.
